Project Overview and Technical Scope
Contracted to support the commercial development of a new range of thermally broken lintels, D Hickey Design delivered a technical package combining product design, 3D CGI visualisations, structural engineering coordination, and product brochure production. The project focused on showcasing both the thermal efficiency and load-bearing performance of the lintels for architects, specifiers, and building contractors.
Key Deliverables and Technical Detailing
3D CGI Product Renders: Produced high-resolution 3D CGI models of individual thermally broken lintel profiles to highlight their fabrication quality and cold-bridge breaking features.
Wall Build-Up Visualisations: Rendered technical wall build-up CGIs demonstrating real world installation, clearly illustrating the structural interaction between the outer brickwork, cavity insulation, lintel placement, and inner blockwork.
Chartered Structural Engineering Calculations: Coordinated with subcontracted chartered structural engineers to deliver structural calculations, proving load capacities and compliance with current building regulations across the entire lintel range.
Product Brochure Design: Integrated structural load tables, technical CGI graphics, installation guides, and product specifications into a commercial brochure.
